Community Guidelines
Omezy exists so eligible users can meet new people through spontaneous text and video chat without giving up their dignity, privacy, or safety. These Guidelines explain the behavior we expect from every user and the conduct we remove from the service.
Short version: meet the age requirement, be respectful, keep it legal, keep it consensual, and report anything unsafe. If you are looking to exploit, harass, spam, expose, deceive, threaten, or pressure someone, Omezy is not for you.
1. Age requirement
Omezy is available only to people who meet our age requirement. You must be at least 18 years old to use Omezy. Do not invite, encourage, solicit, or attempt to contact anyone who does not meet this requirement.
- If we believe a user does not meet the age requirement, we may immediately disconnect, suspend, ban, and delete or restrict the account.
- If you suspect a user does not meet the age requirement, report them immediately and end the chat.
- Serious minor-safety risks may be preserved and reported to appropriate authorities.
2. Respect and consent are required
Every chat involves another real person. Treat strangers with basic care even when a conversation is brief.
- No harassment, bullying, intimidation, humiliation, targeted insults, or repeated unwanted contact.
- No hate speech or degrading conduct based on race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, body type, or protected status.
- No intimate pressure, coercion, threats, blackmail, or attempts to make someone do something they do not freely want to do.
- No recording, screenshots, reposting, or sharing of another person's image, voice, messages, or personal information without clear consent from everyone involved.
3. Sensitive or explicit content
Omezy is a social chat service, not a place for explicit, exploitative, or commercial intimate content. We restrict behavior that makes strangers unsafe or turns conversation into exploitation.
- Do not display, request, sell, buy, or distribute explicit intimate content.
- Do not threaten to share, save, repost, or misuse another user's private or intimate content.
- No sensitive or intimate content involving, appearing to involve, or referencing minors, including jokes, roleplay, cartoons, AI images, or ambiguous references.
- No attempts to move users to another platform for explicit content, scams, or commercial intimate activity.
4. Privacy and personal information
Random chat is safer when people do not overshare. You are responsible for what you disclose, but you may not pressure others to disclose private information.
- Do not ask for or share private addresses, government IDs, financial details, login credentials, school or workplace details, intimate images, or other sensitive information.
- Do not dox, threaten to dox, track, stalk, or attempt to identify another user outside the chat.
- Do not harvest emails, phone numbers, social handles, images, voices, or other user data.
- Never assume a stranger is who they claim to be. Keep conversations inside Omezy unless you choose otherwise with care.
5. Spam, scams, bots, and manipulation
Omezy removes activity that degrades conversation quality or puts users at risk.
- No spam, mass messaging, link dumping, phishing, malware, fake giveaways, investment schemes, crypto scams, romance scams, or contact-harvesting.
- No bots, automation, scripted accounts, fake webcam feeds, repeated copy-paste messages, or attempts to bypass rate limits and challenges.
- No deceptive promotions, affiliate funnels, paid traffic schemes, or recruitment for external explicit, gambling, illegal, or unsafe services.
- No impersonation of another person, company, moderator, public figure, or Omezy staff member.
6. Illegal or dangerous activity
Do not use Omezy to plan, promote, sell, buy, display, or normalize illegal or dangerous activity.
- No threats of violence, terrorism, extortion, trafficking, self-harm encouragement, or instructions for serious harm.
- No illegal drugs, weapons sales, stolen goods, fraud, hacking services, fake documents, or other unlawful transactions.
- No animal cruelty, extreme violence, gore, or content intended to shock, intimidate, or traumatize people.
- No evading sanctions, legal restrictions, court orders, or platform safety systems.
7. Camera and microphone safety
For video chat, keep your camera experience honest and safe.
- Use your own camera. Do not play prerecorded, looped, stolen, or misleading video as if it is live.
- Do not show explicit intimate content, weapons used to threaten, illegal drugs, private documents, or another person's private space without permission.
- Leave or skip immediately if a chat becomes unsafe. Reporting helps moderators protect other users too.
8. Reporting and enforcement
Use the Report button when someone violates these Guidelines. Reports may include limited evidence such as chat excerpts, safety metadata, and, in video sessions, a small snapshot submitted for moderation review.
Report evidence, moderation notes, abuse-prevention signals, and related audit records are retained for 30 days, then deleted automatically from active systems unless a valid legal hold, court order, active safety investigation, active account restriction, or another legal obligation requires preservation.
Depending on severity and history, Omezy may warn, disconnect, rate-limit, hide, restrict, suspend, permanently ban, preserve evidence, or report conduct to authorities. Severe child safety, credible threat, exploitation, or criminal abuse cases may receive immediate action without warning.
9. When in doubt
If a conversation feels unsafe, end it. You never owe a stranger your time, image, personal information, attention, contact details, money, or explanation.
10. Contact
Questions, safety concerns, or legal inquiries can be sent to [email protected]. These Guidelines may evolve as Omezy learns from real safety risks and community needs. See our Legal Inquiry page for legal request and retention details.
